As an Early Years Educator (EYE), your role is to encourage kids and use available resources creatively so that they can learn until the age of 5 years. Plus, your job is to ensure a safe and secure environment for them to develop their skills. In exchange, you gain a lot of experience and plenty of money. But the question is how much can you earn as an EYE in the UK? Let’s find out the answer. 

After training, you will get an Early Years Teacher Status. With this status, you can serve as an EYE at independent, voluntary, or private settings like playgrounds, preschools, and day nurseries. 

How much can you earn as an early years educator in the UK?

  • Your pay and conditions depend on your employer and settings. If you work with a big agency, they may be willing to compensate you more than small agencies. 
  • Your starting annual salary may be between £16,000 and £18,000, but some employers may pay even more. So, it depends on many factors. 
  • After you have gained some experience, you may command a salary between £22,000 and £36,000. In this case, you will be a manager or supervisor.
